STUART, Fla. (May 15, 2008) – Homecrete Homes (www.homecretehomes.com), the nation’s largest insulated concrete form (ICF) homebuilder, has for the third year in a row, been awarded the Treasure Coast Builders Association Parade of Homes “Grand Award” for homes priced $335,000 to $350,000. This year’s winner was the Homecrete “Serenity” model. With four bedrooms and three baths, the 2700 square foot Serenity features a spacious kitchen with an island, granite countertops and a family room overlooking the lanai and pool.
Homecrete Homes’ award winning Serenity model is not only visually appealing to homebuyers, but also energy efficient and hurricane resistant.
Our homes have all of the outstanding features that discriminating Florida home buyers expect,” says Robert Cenk, vice president of construction for Homecrete. “Spacious rooms, 16 x16 tile throughout, granite countertops and stainless-steel appliances. But what sets us apart from our competition is how we build. All of our homes are built with Greenblock (www.greenblock.com) insulated concrete forms, which provide our homeowners with the ultimate protection from hurricanes and tornados. The solid poured, steel reinforced concrete walls also provide R-values that are triple what you will get with a typical concrete block house. With rising energy costs that means our homeowners pay much less in heating and cooling bills,” continued Cenk.
In addition to the Parade of Homes Grand Award, two Homecrete custom homes received the Florida Power and Light “BuildSmart Energy Efficient Builder Award.” BuildSmart is FPL's energy efficient new home certification program. BuildSmart homes save up to 30 percent on energy bills, compared to homes that simply comply with the Florida Building Code.
Homecrete has six models to choose from, two of which can be seen at their Model Center located at 225 W. Bayshore Blvd. in Port St. Lucie. (772) 873-6707. Homecrete also builds custom homes.
