The Proof is in the Exterior Walls: Building Safe, Quiet and “Green”

STUART, Fla. (September 22, 2006) – Homecrete Homes,(www.homecretehomes.com), the nation’s leading insulated concrete form (ICF) home builder, is now building safe, quiet and energy-efficient homes in St. Lucie County, Fla. Homecrete Homes offers several luxury models, each designed with practicality and affordability in mind.

Homecrete Homes’ philosophy to build “green” by providing solid, energy-efficient homes using cutting edge technology, has resulted in an award-winning combination that has garnered national attention.

A 2006 USA Today article stated that “green building has reached a tipping point in the United States” and that “2/3 of builders will be building ‘green’ homes within the next year.” Homecrete Homes is excited to be at the head of this national movement toward energy conservation and environmentally-responsible home building.

“Homecrete Homes’ owners rave about how quiet and comfortable their homes are and how much money they are saving each month on their energy bills,” said Steve Reiter, vice president of marketing, Homecrete Homes. “And they’re amazed when their first energy bill arrives and it’s a fraction of what they’re used to paying in a traditional concrete block or stick frame home.”

Each house built by Homecrete Homes is constructed with Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs) from Greenblock Worldwide Corporation, (www.greenblock.com). ICFs are high R-value polystyrene foam “Lego” blocks that are stacked into the exterior shape of a house. The walls are then aligned, braced and strengthened with steel rebar and filled with concrete, creating a stronger, more energy-efficient, sustainable and environmentally-friendly structure.

The 8-inch wide, solid-poured concrete walls not only provide superior strength and energy efficiency, they also create a home that is so quiet it eliminates outside sounds like traffic, airplanes and even leaf blowers.

Homecrete Homes utilizes only professional, experienced ICF wall installation crews, which results in consistent, high-quality workmanship. Building time is shortened with ICFs, allowing homeowners to move in faster than with traditional concrete block construction.

About Homecrete Homes
Homecrete Homes Inc., (www.homecretehomes.com), was formed by a group of partners in 1999 to address what they felt was a growing need for sustainable, safe and energy-efficient housing in the Port St. Lucie/Treasure Coast of Florida and the Bakersfield/Central Valley of California. They saw the increasing demand for high quality, affordable custom and spec homes that would not only offer a wide range of custom features and amenities, but also provide superior protection from natural disasters like hurricanes and earthquakes as well as address the growing concerns over high energy costs. The decision to live in a Homecrete Home is an environmentally responsible choice. Our homes require less energy to heat and cool, eliminate many indoor air contaminants and provide a sustainable structure that will still be standing 100 years from now.

ICF Solutions, Inc. operates as a parent and holding company owning 100% of the shares in Homecrete Homes. Dr. Klaus Murmann is the majority stock holder of ICF Solutions while KM Beteiligungs GmbH, an international trust company, holds the remaining shares. ICF Solutions, Inc. controls the business development, capital funding, cash flow, senior management and overall leadership for its two operating divisions.
